2012FitFluential | The Power of a Uniform

Wearing my new FitFluential tank during yesterday’s lunch hour workout gave me quite the workout experience. Beyond the excitement to debut my new workout wear, donning the top for the first time actually moved me both physically and emotionally. There are no special fitness powers hidden in the simple threads of this shirt, and yet something transpired during my gym time that I won’t soon forget. For the first time in my fitness journey, I felt clothed in strength, power and passion.
The instant I put this shirt on, I felt thunder in my body. I wanted to move. I wanted to inspire. I wanted to take off and fly. I felt fitness fireworks ignite in a way that I have never felt. I wanted to run and run fast. I wanted to lift heavier and longer. I felt unlimited. I instantly wanted to be #PROOF. To some people, this may be just a tank top; to me I felt like I was dressing in a precious uniform, officially representing a lifestyle, my FitFluential life, that I seek to live out daily in every choice I make. This top is genuine accountability to the person I say I am day in and day out.
After a stellar time at the gym, I didn’t want to take this shirt off. I wanted to live in it for a day. Though the fabric is soft, cool and fitted, it’s not the make of the shirt I’m drawn to. It’s the message the shirt represents. Being a FitFluential Ambassador inspires me, challenges me, empowers me and pushes me to want more out of life. It’s not the shirt I want to live in, it’s the message in which I want to dwell.
During my workout, I kept repeating the same message about living the FitFluential life. It was a stream of short thoughts and played on repeat. It went something like this:
Live your message. Be your passion. Dwell in the possibilities. Be great. Do great, today and everyday. Make good choices now to set the stage for a good tomorrow. Breathe. Move. Live happy. Live healthy. Push yourself to levels you never thought you could reach. Be unlimited.
Stop wishing. Start doing. Motivate. Inspire. Be #PROOF.
Wishing you the best. Katie
QUESTION OF THE DAY:
Do you get inspired by the clothes you wear?

Research has found that we do ‘act’ like the clothes we are wearing – they’ve done studies where they dressed people as doctors and they actually preformed better on tests!
